[Excerpts] A 15-year veteran of the Wausau Police Department is charged with attempting to murder his wife. Shawano County authorities say Chueng Lee, 45, crashed his truck last week. They now believe Lee crashed on purpose with the intention of killing his wife, Chao, who was in the front seat... "We had officers who are friends with Chueng, and so we have to come to grips with the reality of the situation and also offer support to Chao at this point"... She also said Chueng made threats before. Chief Hardel says his department was unaware of any past history, "And I can guarantee you if we would have had that information we would have fully investigated that."
