[Excerpts] A prosecutor said yesterday that Boston Deputy Fire Chief Peter Pearson stalked a woman for three weeks before he posed as a police officer, took her to a park while armed with a gun, and forced her to perform sex acts on him. Pearson told the victim he had been eyeing her for three weeks before he approached and attacked her, prosecutor Shelby Smith said in Brockton District Court. The woman told police that Pearson described what she was wearing during a trip to a Save-A-Lot market and mentioned another trip to a CVS store. Smith said that after the 51-year-old longtime firefighter had finished assaulting the woman, Pearson told the alleged victim that he expected her to go further the next time and indicated he would be watching her. At his arraignment yesterday, Pearson pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated rape, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and impersonating a police officer. By late afternoon, he had posted the $50,000 cash bail and was being fitted with a GPS monitoring device, as ordered by the court. Judge Mary Dacey White also ordered him to stay away from the alleged victim... [Full article here]

[Excerpts] The Boston deputy fire chief accused of raping an alleged prostitute at gunpoint after stalking her for three weeks was placed on paid administrative leave after posting $50,000 bail yesterday in Brockton District Court... Pearson was previously arrested for engaging in sex for a fee in 1996, but the case was continued without a finding, said prosecutor Shelby Smith, who had pressed for $250,000 bail. Smith said Pearson also defaulted on a court case 22 years ago, but did not elaborate on the nature of the case... Boston Fire spokesman Steve MacDonald said the department was unaware of Pearson’s 1996 arrest. Pearson also had no history of disciplinary problems with the department, he said... [Excerpts] ...Before this past year, it would be difficult if not impossible to imagine the public growing so cynical and jaded toward a public-service profession where the job description includes death that it would actually dare to crack snide jokes about it... Then comes Deputy Chief Peter Pearson with 23 years on the job, a wife and children at home, who gets himself arrested on a wild and crazy string of charges that include impersonating a police officer in order to make it easier to rape a woman... In a year when you were trying to hold back a floodtide of public opinion on the fundamental need for random drug and alcohol testing in the BFD as a given rather than a perk, the last thing you needed was to have the deaths of two firefighters in a deceptively treacherous West Roxbury restaurant fire shrouded by the prohibitive levels of drugs and alcohol found in their systems. It seemed that the controversy swirling around the deaths of firefighters Paul Chaill and Warren Payne had barely subsided when the cops bagged Fire Inspector Tony Gaston, firing up a bone in his red BFD car, a stone’s throw away from the Dorchester District Court... You said Tony Gaston was presumed innocent until proven guilty... Sprinkled in between all the talk of drugs, there were such dysfunctional blips on the personnel radar screen like Joseph Houlder. To quote from the first line of last month’s Herald story: “(Joseph J. Houlder) a 46-year-old Boston firefighter, allegedly choked his longtime girlfriend, punched her in the head and threatened to hurl a stereo speaker at her, during an attack that left her fearing for her life.” For the sake of space and time, we’ll skip the account of how Wayne Abron essentially did the same thing to his girlfriend in a backyard at 2 in the morning... 1. the story of Firefighter Anthony Gaston "TokingUp" is false , it is the Puke Peter from the Herald who acted as the Menino administrations get-away driver. you see the Herald didn't pay City taxes ( Herald square ) they owned an entire City block , also it is an undeclared Superfund site.
Anthony was locked up for 30 days without being charged with anything, his drug test came back clean. there is no journalism anymore.
