A Reidsville man reportedly shot by an off-duty state trooper [G.S. Grissom] the night of Dec. 22 has died. Patrick Martin Curry, 27, was pronounced dead at 8:35 a.m. Monday, according to Doug Allred, a spokesman for Moses Cone Hospital... Neighbors were reluctant to talk about the shooting Monday. Curry’s family also declined comment Monday.

I look at it this way..First of all the father of Patrick Curry said that Officer Grissom was dating his Daughter-in-Law making sound like she was a saint...She was a willing partisapant in the relationship she couldve easily told Officer Grissom that she is still married and that she doesnt want a relationship ..but she didnt. seperated or not she is still technicaly married...she was playing both her husband and Officer Grissom shes not the person everyone makes her out to be..Also Patrick wasnt exactly a saint either..he has pulled a gun on someone before..but what would you have done if u knew that your spouse had a GF/BF while u were seperated...In my opinion officer Grissom had the right to defend himself if was being beat in the head by Patrick as he said he was..she kinda provoked Patirck to come over to Officer Grissoms house by being there with him in the first place she shouldve put off the relationship with Officer Grissom until she knew where things stood with Patrick..Shes at fault too...

ReplyDeleteREIDSVILLE — Patrick Martin Curry, 27, of 971 Butter Road, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2009, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 9, at Woodmont United Methodist Church with the Dr. Ron Boswell and Rev. Carl Johnson officiating. The interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Patrick was a lifelong resident of Reidsville and graduated from Rockingham County High School in 1999. He was employed with Pike Electric, Inc. where he served as a lineman. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served formerly as a volunteer fireman for both the Wentworth and Williamsburg Fire Departments and also the Reidsville Rescue Squad. He was an avid sportsman, especially hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Odell Richardson.
Patrick is survived by his wife, Cameron Jones Curry of Reidsville; his son, Preston Shane Moore of Reidsville; his parents, Steve and Dianne Curry of the home; his sister, Caroline Curry Moore and husband, Tracy of Reidsville; paternal grandparents, Corky and Brenda Curry and maternal grandmother, Libby Richardson all of Reidsville; mother and father-in-law, Marion and Alecia Jones and grandmother-in-law, Omie Sherron and the late W.D. Sherron all of Reidsville; a large extended family and many friends.
The family will be at Wilkerson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 8, and other times at the residence, 971 Butter Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 7860 NC Hwy 87, Reidsville, NC 27320 or Woodmont United Methodist Church, 1926 Richardson Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320.
