Sources: Ex-cop kills ex-girlfriend

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- Sources tell Eyewitness News that a woman was shot and killed in Brooklyn Sunday by her ex-boyfriend, a former NYPD officer, who had recently resigned.
Police responded to the home at 84 Engert Avenue in the Greenpoint section just after 6 p.m.
There, they found the 28-year-old woman shot once in the head. She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
A second woman, also 28, was also shot in the elbow and grazed on the head. She was taken to Bellevue, where she is listed in stable condition.
According to witnesses, the ex-boyfriend fled in a gray Honda Accord.
The investigation is ongoing.
