[Excerpts] A Dayton police officer was arrested and charged with domestic violence and aggravated menacing early Friday morning. Police Chief Mark Reiss said police responded to the 4000 block of Byesville Avenue at 12:18 a.m. Friday, March 6, on a report of a woman being beaten. The suspect, Philip Mordick, 34, had left the scene when officers arrived. He was located and arrested at the Dayton police department... Mordick allegedly got into a fight with his girlfriend outside her parent's home. The woman's mother placed the initial call, then put her daughter on the phone. "It was my last day at work and I went out with a couple of girls for a beer and he just totally freaked," she said. The woman said she had been hit in the jaw once and her finger was injured. She said Mordick had pulled a gun on her cousin and she stepped between them. "I don't understand why he pulled the gun," she said. "He's not that kind of cop, I'm telling you. He's a very mellow person." The woman expressed concern about Mordick and said she didn't want to get him in trouble at work... Both charges are first degree misdemeanors. [Full article here]

The dispute happened outside the home of the victim's mother on Byesville Blvd. Montgomery County Jail records indicate that Officer Philip Mordick, 34, was arrested in Riverside and booked into the jail around 3:30 a.m. Friday... In the 911 call, the woman said, "He pulled a gun on my cousin." The woman also told the dispatcher, "He was going to shoot him, then I stepped in front of him and he stopped." The woman said Mordick is typically a very mellow, calm man and it was unlike him to do something like this. Internal Affairs is investigating the incident... This statement is untrue and just another example of the media blowing things out of context. This man was an outstanding officer and the only thing he was ever guilty of was committing to the wrong woman. You notice there isn't an article about the outcome of the courts findings regarding this crap, because he was never found guilty. He was falsely accused and in this case.... True Justice for a man that put his life on the line everyday to serve his community was served and he returned to full active duty.

  2. My children's father and my ex-husband was murdered by someone at his residence 2810 Kingston Ave. Dayton, Ohio (Belmont area). Perhaps his Black widow girlfriend an Eleanor Gilliam who was married to a Lt. Lee Roy Gilliam who once was a Lt. on the Dayton Police Department, before he mysteriously died 13/min. after arriving at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. My husband was shot on the left side of his back. Here is what I've put up with from the Dayton Fire Department first responders who arrived at his residents, which said my husband was shot on the right side of his face and head area and that he was also shot under his right nipple and possible brain matter found on his bedroom carpet. This statement is all untrue. I had a meeting with the Prosecutor Mr. Leon Daidone which said the first responders were inexperienced and this was not a Criminal matter bur Civil. My husband is dead. The next big problem it took the Dayton Police Department 18/years to get a Police Report were they afraid of Bill Stepp and Ronald Gilliam, who killed the 19/year old kid a Larry Scherer at the old Bank Lounge on N. Main Street in Dayton?
Why can't the Dayton Police Dept., Homicide all get together and quit this murder cover-up. My husband wrote a note to our son Mike, before he was shot and killed. The note he wrote said: Mike, I hate her, I hate her, They're going to shoot me and then they did. I have 3-4 different versions as to what caused his death. It looked as if he was severely beaten up before he was shot and killed. BecaUSE HIS GIRLFRIEND WAS A FRIEND OF dR. jAMES dAVIS md THINGS STOPPED THERE AND AT THE dpd. i COULD WRITE ANOTHE 10/PAGES BUT i WILL STOP. tHE EX-WIFE OF mR. t. iF YOU WANT TO READ OUR BOOK THAT WAS PUBLISHED THE NAME OF OUR BOOK IS. New Year's Eve Murder (The Un-Solved Murder of Mr. T.) Murdered by Girlfriend.
