[KY] Officer Ingram is listed as the victim in the domestic violence shooting incident at his ex-girlfriends residence


Shaunn Erin Davis was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment after police say she pointed a loaded gun and then struggled with the victim [Lexington police officer Martin Davis] before firing two shots. "We know that the off-duty officer was here to pick up personal property and announced that he was coming over to pick up the property and brought an acquaintance with him," says Commander Robert Stack of Lexington Police... He was married months ago but police say the woman who fired shots in this case was not his wife. Friends tell 27 NEWSFIRST it was an ex-girlfriend... He had a friend with him, who was there when the shooting happened. The off-duty officer does not live at the address...

[Excerpts]Lexington Police are investigating that led to what they're calling a domestic shooting in a home where an off duty officer was present... Lexington Police responded to a domestic disturbance at 7015 Old Richmond Road. Police say a woman unloaded two rounds from an .22 caliber handgun into the home. At the time of the incident, a male, off-duty Lexington Police officer was at the home... The Fayette County Property Valuation Administrator's web site says the home is owned by Martin Ingram... "We know that the off-duty officer was here to pick up personal property and announced that he was coming over to pick up the property and brought an acquaintance with him," says Commander Robert Stack of Lexington Police. [Excerpts] ABC 36 News has new information about the off-duty Lexington police officer who investigators say was present when shots were fired during a domestic shooting Wednesday. According to a police citation, Shaunn Erin Davis was arrested and charged with wanton endangerment after police say she pointed a loaded gun and then struggled with the victim before firing two shots... A woman [Erin Davis] was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after police say she fired a gun during a domestic dispute with an off-duty Lexington police officer Wednesday.... Commander Robert Stack said the officer and the woman were not husband and wife. The off-duty officer does not live at the address. Police have not identified the officer or further clarified the relationship between he and Davis. Stack said the officer and another person came to the home to pick up some personal property... WLEX TV news footage clearly showed the off-duty police officer having his hands photographed by police officers. WLEX also said that the police officer was divorced from the woman, and he came to pick up personal items at the home. The police spokesman, and Commander Stack, say that the officer is the victim. Interesting, that the police immediately came to the conclusion that the cop is the victim, and are not considering that the woman shot at her ex-husband in self defense. This is a domestic violence case between a cop and his divorced wife...

...I watched WKYT and got a somewhat different story, but something that still deserves further clarification. According to WKYT, the off duty officer had given notice to his former girlfriend, who lives in a home owned by the officer... The officer, who recently married someone else, was accompanied by an unnamed party... The officer recently got married and his ex-girlfriend is living in a home he owns?...

[Excerpts] some scary moments for a police officer today after investigators say a woman fired shots at him!...vo tamara evans joins us live from the scene with the latest. live. we have learned some new information for you within the last hour, as to who this officer is, and who that suspect is that police took away. friends of the officer marty ingram tell me he was the victim in this incident. he has been with the lexington police department as a daytime patrol officer for about 20 years. police say they were called to this home on old richmond road around 3:20 this afternoon, which is a home owned by officer ingram. friends also tell me, it was his exgirlfriend living here. ingram recently married, and police say stopped by to pick up some items... the woman who fired shots in this case was taken to the police department to be questioned. we are told she was not going to be charged until she was questioned... [Excerpts] Police are not releasing the name of the officer shot at Wednesday afternoon, because they say it's a domestic related case, but 27 NEWSFIRST has learned the officer involved is Marty Ingram. He was married months ago but police say the woman who fired shots in this case was not his wife. Friends tell 27 NEWSFIRST it was an ex-girlfriend... He had a friend with him, who was there when the shooting happened. The female who allegedly fired the gun at Officer Ingram has been taken into custody for questioning but as of 5:00pm Wednesday no charges had been filed. [Full article here]
