Dallas Police Officer James Gordon was arrested in Fort Worth on Sunday for criminal trespassing and charged with criminal trespass of a habitation after police responded to a 4a.m. "domestic disturbance" where he had entered his ex-wife's house without permission. He's been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal investigation. DPD isn't giving up more details than that.

ReplyDeleteMost domestic violence cases against police officers are dismissed. That is part of the problem. It was determined that he did not have permission to be on the premises. He can be on the deed end on the restraining order at the same time. Police wouldn't arrest him just because his wife said he's not supposed to be there. She obviously had paper that was supposed to keep him away. And that would mean there's even more to it that happened before this incident.
