Huffman, 24, faces six felony counts of attempting to influence a public official after being accused of lying about a series of alleged attacks by an ex-boyfriend, former Manitou Springs Police Officer Jarrott Martinez... Huffman admitted on the stand that she made up the story about being forced into the parking lot. She told jurors she agreed to meet Martinez but had been ashamed to admit it because she felt guilty for ignoring the restraining order she took out on him... The charges were drummed up when Martinez left Huffman in April 2010 for another woman, the suit alleges...Martinez hasn’t returned to law enforcement due to a permanent restraining order that Huffman obtained against him that keeps him from carrying a gun... “He believes that this experience will help him become a better cop and be sensitive to the rights of everyone” ... Also they had video of Jarrott at a mall that day with his current girlfriend. You are not posting all the facts. They have proved that he was not with her that day at all. I do believe there should be justice for domestic violence when it happens but nobody is reporting all the facts in this case. She is not in trouble for getting a few of her facts wrong.
