As a young woman interested in law school and in american justice who witnessed first hand last year cops blatantly lie on a young african american male with no record because they beat him; it infuriates me that while we are told no man is above the law; various occurence shows that statement to be a myth. To conceal her info, i will be limited in my comments however i will say thit is eveident that they protect their own while they are employed; however once they retire or go out on workman's comp they revert back to the lives of regular citizens in which their lives are minor concerns in the eyes of some employed in law enforcement. So the next time you ask why won't or don't people trust the police? This is because the mission of to protect & serve has transformed and turned into a mission to harass and embarass. Not all that serves in these fields are bad, but rules and legal issues, or the lack thereof allow what we used to know as neighborhood heroes the choice of being the superhero or the alterego thereof.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
