[SC] Ex-cop husband of Judy Orr (Baldwin) arrested, charged with her murder

Judy Orr McWaters (Baldwin)

Ex York Police Officer James Harold Baldwin has been indicted by a grand jury and arrested for the beating death murder of his wife Judy on Dec. 14, 2016 - which he staged as accidental. James initially claimed that Judy had hurt herself falling while putting up Christmas decorations and then was killed in the crash that happened as he tried to get her to the hospital. The indictment says Baldwin “inflicted or caused to be inflicted blunt force trauma” to his wife’s head, causing her death. Family members had pushed for the case to be investigated since Judy was killed. Judy's sister said, “It’s sad that my sister’s life ended in pain.” From Judy's obituary, she was the owner and operator of Judy's Personal Touch, a member of Woodward Baptist Church, a member of the church's Women's Missionary Union, and member and secretary of the Carolina Thunder Christian Motorcycle Club. James Baldwin had also formerly been a police officer at the Columbia Police Department and a police dispatcher for the Chester County Sheriff’s Office. Since Judy's death James Baldwin is also accused of burning down a roommate’s trailer in York County, then trying to defraud the insurance company after the fire. Those charges are also still pending. [Google him here to follow his court case]
