A former New York City police officer who ended a standoff by coming out of a house holding a gun did not fire at deputies as officials initially reported. He was shot and killed by a SWAT team member. Craig Bodie, 46, fired several shots Friday inside the house, then emerged after the three-hour standoff waving a gun... Deputies were called to investigate a domestic dispute between Bodie and his estranged wife... Bodie armed himself with a handgun, threatened suicide and barricaded himself inside... Bodie raised his gun as if to fire after coming out of the house...
