STATE POLICE OFFICER ARRESTED IN TUCUMCARI
[Excerpts] Tucumcari police on Thursday arrested a New Mexico State Police officer on felony child abuse charges and a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, officials confirmed Friday... Tucumcari officers responded to a report of domestic violence... officers interviewed a woman from that address... After the interview, a Tucumcari officer asked that a warrant be issued for Vigil, charging him with child abuse, a third-degree felony, and a misdemeanor charge of battery on a household member...
