[FL] Deputy Lisha Davis killed by her husband

2005
Gadsden County Sheriff's Office Deputy Lisha Davis was killed in front of two of her children by her husband Ervin Davis. They had just recently split up.

From her online guestbook:
"My deepest sympathy go out to the children and family of Deputy Daniels. I was very pleased with the opportunity of having such a excited and motivated person to work with our agency. Deputy Daniels was eager to work with children and wanted the opportunity to blossom as a law enforcement officer. She will be truly missed by me, the agency, and the people she touched."
Sheriff Morris A. Young
Gadsden County Sheriff's Office (Quincy, FL )

  1. I'm so sorry you lost her, and lost her this way. I'm sure you have an extra special angel.
    Hugs.

  2. Unfortunately, I was one of the children she was killed in front of. I recently turn 20 years old, but with the loss of mother.. I sometimes feel six years old all over again. I can still see my mother dying right in front of my eyes. I can still see Ervin backing out of the drive-way with no remorse, and making eye contact with me as drove away rolling up the window. I can still see the ambulance picking her up out of the yard, and taking her to hospital knowing I had just lost my mother. Although, it has taken me a very long time to become the person I am today: strong-willed, determined, and positive. Although, everything that has happened in my life has been apart of God's plan for me, and for his vision of me to become the person I am and the person I will be. I just wanted to say mom, I miss you and I love you. I respect you and I cherish you each and everyday that God allows breathe in my body. Mom, I feel you as I write this, and I want to let you know. I may not be okay today, but with my head held high, I know I'll still have that chance to be happy tomorrow. Mom, thank you for everyone that you've placed in my life to love me when it's hard for me to love myself. Thank you for being with me on the rainy days, and reminding me that the sun will shine in the morning. Thank you for guiding me, and protecting, and forgiving me when I couldn't seem to forgive myself. Thank you for the pain because it makes my heart feel pure. Thank you giving me the chance to still love whole-heartedly even when I don't feel whole. I haven't forgiven Ervin yet, but with the man you chose to be my father, and family you allowed me to be born into, married into. I'm going to be okay. I'm going to love, I'm going laugh, and I will always give your name a voice. I will always give your story a voice. I am never going to let you go because you died with purpose, and you're one of the strongest woman I've ever had in my life. I remember you, and I won't let the world forget about you.

With love and sincerity, your daughter Jasmyne Crimbley
