[TN] Officer Hepler, charged with aggravated assault, told police his unconscious wife is a drama queen

A Millington police officer [Jeffery "Jeff" Allen Hepler] has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, upgraded from the original charge of domestic assault... When officers were called to the apartment on Big Creek View Circle, they say they found Hepler's wife on the bedroom floor. She was unresponsive and having seizures, but still breathing... The Millington police officer described his wife as a “drama queen” after she was found that night, unconscious in a locked bedroom... “After she was revived, she stated that during the argument the suspect grabbed her by the neck and held her down. She also stated that she was in fear of the suspect and had additional bruises on her upper chest area.” She had bruises on her neck, leg and chest. She told deputies she is battling stomach cancer, and that Hepler also put his foot on her stomach...

HEPLER'S 41, WORKED FOR MILLINGTON POLICE 9 MONTHS, HAS HAD AT LEAST 3 DOMESTIC CALLS TO HIS HOUSE IN YEAR AND THAT SPELLS TO ME THAT HE HAS WORKED FOR OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES. NONE OF THE ARTICLES MENTION IT BUT IT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MAKES SENSE - AND THEN THE QUESTION WILL BE HOW MUCH DID HIS CURRENT DEPARTMENT KNOW BEFORE THEY HIRED HIM, HOW MUCH HAVE THEY KNOWN REGARDING THE CALLS TO HIS HOUSE AND WHY WERE THERE NO CHARGES (JUST WHY), AND WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS PRIOR LAW ENFORCEMENT JOB(S). I DUG A LITTLE. I SEE JEFF HAS LIVED IN BOWLING GREEN KY AND APPEARS TO HAVE AT LEAST WORKED AS A SHERIFF'S DEPUTY IN SIMPSON COUNTY KY AND AS A JAIL DEPUTY AT WARREN COUNTY REGIONAL JAIL.

WHO KNEW WHAT WHEN AND HOW LONG IS THE HISTORY?

  1. To the person trying to comment, I was not able to post what you said because there is no evidence of the crime you mentioned, and if a crime is being committed, the blog won't help - it will only make it harder to get evidence.
