[El Paso, TX] Border Patrol Officer Rodolfo Candelaria walked into his wife's place of work and shot and killed her. Maria died from multiple gunshot wounds to her neck and chest. He took two hostages and six hours later shot and killed himself.
Two young boys, nine and 12, became orphaned.
"My sister had spoken to his supervisor regarding him carrying a weapon during the separation, and the supervisor told her (Maria), that he's (Rodolfo) is a good person and there's nothing wrong with him carrying a weapon," said Guadalupe Camacho.
My deepest condolences go out the the family, especially the sons. Both are friends of mine who have good heads on their shoulders and deserve the world. I am positive their mother will be proud of what they will become; they will remain in my prayers.
