[Excerpts] Hampton Police officials are working with the Rockingham County attorney’s office to investigate a shot believed to have been fired by an Hampton police officer responding to a domestic disturbance. Police say no one was hit by the shot fired Monday night... Police say they were called to the address after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance involving a firearm. Police say 52-year-old James Bartimo was taken into custody at the scene, but he was later released without being charged. The preliminary investigation says an officer fired the shot... HAMPTON — Town police are working with the Rockingham County Attorney's office to investigate a shot believed to have been fired by a Hampton police officer responding to a domestic disturbance...
