[Excerpts] A second deputy with the Chesapeake sheriff's department is out of a job after being arrested. Jamey Ray Woods, 35, resigned from the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office on Wednesday morning, said Sgt. David Rosado, a spokesman for the office... he incident occurred at 11 p.m., at the Quality Inn & Suites on Atlantic Avenue, the site of the Polar Plunge Festival Center... Woods was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and public intoxication. He has been released on $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in General District Court on March 22. [Excerpts] Police say a Chesapeake sheriff's deputy was drunk when he attacked his girlfriend at the Oceanfront Saturday hours after the Polar Plunge. Deputy Jamey Woods, a 12-year veteran, resigned Wednesday morning. Police said they received several calls for a fight at the Quality Inn on Atlantic Avenue...
