Brian Williams, who is active in a downtown church and had previously attended Maranatha Bible College, is set to be arraigned Wednesday on two counts of murder in San Diego Superior Court. Howard Williams said he will be there to support his brother... Police responded to the two-story home on June 30 for a disturbance that was handled without an arrest, said San Diego police Capt. Jim Collins. Howard Williams said the dispute was between him and Brian, and that it was minor. He said his mother and sister were out of town at the time. He declined to give further details. He said the family was thankful for the support from friends and the Police Department, where his mother worked for 31 years, spending much of her career in the child abuse unit. “We cannot go through this without them,” he said... Briana, who went by Bree, was about a month away from leaving for the Academy of Art University in San Francisco to study fashion design and play softball on a full scholarship. Her mother, a “softball freak,” seldom missed a game, whether it was at Mt. Carmel or traveling around the country for the San Diego Renegades team with Briana. “She absolutely doted on Briana,” Williams said. “Her life was working child abuse and softball”...
