Former [FIRED] Firefighter Charged With Arson

...Michael Strickland adamantly denies the arson accusation. Strickland knows a lot about fire. He volunteered for three years out of the Pine Grove station in the northeast portion of Rhea County. Investigator Chuck Kinney says Strickland and his brother Adam Gunter set the trailer of Strickland'e ex-wife and new husband on fire at the end of September. In fact, Kinney says he believes the brothers went back to the trailer two more times to make sure it burned. And Gunter has been arrested before on an arson charge. But Strickland says he had nothing to do with the fire other than putting it out... "I didn't have anything to do with it. Prove it. Show me someone who saw me there." His supervisor, Chief Billy Cranfield, said "He's done with the Rhea County fire department." Chief Cranfield says he ended the voluntary relationship as soon as his arrest happened...
