I have a whole folder of articles about a past "private" incident and about the chief getting cleared -- and as I always do I was going to post some of those excerpts here, but changed my mind.

When Connie Leach began volunteering in 2003 with the Mayor's Youth Advisory Council, the panel had a history of modest achievements, such as a talent show... Under Leach, the panel launched a number of activities that have benefited youths, enriched the community and earned her and the city national recognition. But now Leach is stepping down. Her last day will be May 16. She is separated from her husband, Police Chief Russ Leach, and plans to return to the cooler climate of the Seattle area, where she grew up in a town on Puget Sound, she said. Connie Leach, adviser to the Riverside Youth Council, said Monday that she plans to resign, and her last day is scheduled to be May 16. Leach said she has no plans but is thinking of moving to the Seattle area. She began volunteering in Mayor Ron Loveridge's office in 2003 and helped launch the youth council, becoming its adviser in 2004. The nonprofit National Child Labor Committee honored Leach in 2007 as one of 10 Americans who helped improve the lives of children. [Full article Source]
