[LA] Ex(?)-Officer Ciruti jailed for break-in, armed kidnap & assault of girlfriend

Joseph Alan Ciruti Jr., 26 years old of Slidell, LA was arrested on Monday May 5th, 2008 and booked with Second Degree Kidnapping, Aggravated Burglary and Aggravated Assault. On Friday May 2nd,2008 Ciruti's estranged girlfriend made allegations that after a long on again off again relationship Ciruti broke into her house in Pearl River, held her by gunpoint, handcuffed, shackled and then took her to several locations in Slidell. After several hours of riding around the victim stated that she convinced Ciruti to released her and check himself into Northshore Regional Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation and was transferred to River Oaks in Harahan, LA. Warrants were signed and Ciruti was arrested upon his release from River Oaks. Ciruti is currently in the St. Tammany Parish Jail awaiting bond.

    I put the x there because sometimes they resign the same day they get in trouble - but were still a law enforcement officer when the alleged crime was committed. I was hoping someone might clarify it, and you did.

  3. He was given the option to resign or be fired due to the stalking that occured before this incident.(He Resigned)That is just something I heard. But that is usually how it works, they will stalk you then it escalates to something else and then before you know it someone is dead.I hope everyone involved get's the justice that is deserved.

He was given the option to be fired or resign because he stalked the same lady in this incident.(Just something I heard) That is usually how it goes, they stalk then they do something like this and then before you know it someone is dead.I hope all that is involved will recieve the justice they deserve.

    And stalking is one of the top indicators before a domestic violence murder. Not to say stalkers kill, but killers do stalk.

  7. Not advised, but "just something I heard" really can be anything because people talk and fill in the gaps with things they make up... so because it's here sure doesn't mean it's true.
