BROWNWOOD POLICE OFFICER CHARGED AFTER DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE

A veteran Brownwood police officer is on unpaid suspension following his arrest last week on charges of assault and unlawful restraint, authorities said. The charges stem from a Nov. 6 domestic disturbance, Brown County Sheriff’s officials said. Patrolman Mike Clark, 44, of Early, turned himself in at the Brown County Jail on Dec. 21 after warrants were issued for his arrest, Sheriff Bobby Grubbs said. Clark, who has worked for the Brownwood Police Department since October 1997, is free on personal recognizance bonds. [LINK]

Clark is charged with assault/dating violence and unlawful restraint, stemming from a November 6th domestic disturbance involving his girlfriend while he was off duty.
