Happy 4th anniversary in heaven dear Carli.
I love you and miss you so much and wait for the day when I will see you again.

And for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it."
Path of heartbreak:
- [PA] COP'S WIFE, POLICE DISPATCHER CARLI DENNIS FOUND DEAD - Carli Anne Bitterman Dennis, 30, of Wyoming, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at home. She was the wife of Jeffery J. Dennis. She was born in Auburn, N.Y., on Jan. 4, 1976. She was a daughter of...
- [PA] Officer Dennis is saying that his wife killed herself, but... -Today Pennsylvania Dallas Township Police Officer Jeffrey Dennis says he didn't kill his wife Carli... Dennis claims his wife shot herself... the victim's best friend said Dennis told her Carli died because of what she did to him... Another witness said Dennis threatened to shoot her and make it look like she did it...
- [PA] Stepping Closer to Justice for Carli - ...Prosecutors also plan to introduce evidence of other crimes Jeff Dennis allegedly committed, including a possible assault of his wife a week before her death. Those alleged crimes will be substantiated by eyewitness testimony of him grabbing her by the hair and neck multiple times... A witness also will testify Jeff Dennis had stated he placed a gun to the back of his wife's head "numerous times"...
- [PA] Jeff Dennis, an officer when Carli was stolen from us, is on trial - I will add updates to the comments of this entry as the trial proceeds... Now it's time for a jury to decide whether 30-year-old [911 Dispatcher] Carli Dennis died from a lone bullet fired by her husband, police officer Jeff Dennis, or by herself...
- [PA] Officer Dennis killed Carli the way he said he would - Jeff Dennis was kneeling at his wife's casket. as someone who recently lost her sister to a similiar situation I would like to expres my condolences.
ReplyDeleteMy deepest condolences to Carli's family. Many will not forget her.I for one think of her quite a bit.Her untimely death is a stark reminder to us all of her and the others who died needlessly at the hands of their police officer husbands. So much more awareness of this problem and accountability from their abusers needs to be addressed .If even ONE tragedy can be stopped,it would be well worth it.My prayers go to Carli's family and all the other families out there that are devastated by Officer Involved Domestic Violence.Keep the fire in your hearts burning to work together to stop these senseless tragedies from happening.
ReplyDeleteI think about Carli often and remember sharing laughs with her in English Class, senior year. She is free of her abuser, but will certainly be missed. I hope he rots in hell for what he did.
ReplyDeleteToday a friend of Carli wrote on Facebook:
ReplyDelete"Update on our case...Jeffrey Dennis was denied another appeal today!!!"
LOVE GOES OUT TO CARLI'S MOM TODAY.

In Loving Memory Of
Carli Anne Bitterman
Given By God ~ January 4, 1976
Returned to God ~ February 27, 2006
You never said "I'm leaving"
You never said goodbye
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knew why.
A million times I needed you,
A million times I cried;
If Love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In Life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still,
In my heart you hold a place,
That no one could ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone
For part of me went with you,
The day God took you home.
I Love and Miss You,
Mom
