Finances believed to be linked to shooting death of former state senator and her spouse

Troubled by financial problems, the husband of former state Sen. Nancy Schaefer shot his wife to death as she lay sleeping Friday morning before turning the gun on himself, authorities said Saturday... [Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell] said a handgun was used in the shootings and was found near Bruce Schaefer's body. An autopsy showed Nancy Schaefer died from a gunshot wound to the back and that Bruce Schaefer died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Authorities believe Nancy Schaefer was asleep when she was shot... [State Rep. Rick] Austin announced her death from the House floor Friday evening... Austin, who knew Schaefer for several years, described the former lawmaker as "a great, graceful lady, who was very involved in her community and very passionate about the issues that concerned her. That's been said now so I'm not sending through the other comments that say the same thing. It's out there. Murder-suicide happens so until someone has some facts, that's enough.
ReplyDeleteThis is a tragic loss to the family, of a very beautiful and compassionate lady who stood up for truth and integrity in a world which is a very dark place.
ReplyDeleteWithout these voices and those who stand firm against the tide of political corruption this world, already dark, would be so much darker. Perhaps unbearable.
There are but a few willing to speak up whereas the rest follow whoever their leader maybe. To this end Nancy Schaefer was a living example, and an example we should all follow. If we hold any regard for truth.
My thoughts, now rest with the family and my hopes for them to come to terms and find peace somewhere in their souls in the light of this dreadful tragedy.

Like her, i am a christian and i will continue to do what she was doing! But i wont leave this earth, until JESUS decides my work is finished, SO THERE WONT BE NO OFFING OF ME UNTIL IVE DONE ALL THE EXPOSING, ETC. HE WANTS ME TO DO, then that's when ill be call home! ReplyDelete*My* case was one of the ones she was staying in Georgia for (as opposed to going to Alabama for something else). My question is this: Is my family now in danger since she was helping to expose the wrongdoings of CPS and DFCS trying to adopt my son out of state to someone??? I was so fearful that I did not attend her funeral like I wanted to (and it was 2 miles down the road from me). Who do I turn to now?

Since when does a guy committing suicide shoot himself in the chest? Look up statistics on that... Where was the CSI when we need them?
