Retired Milwaukee police officer Jack Kasprzak was also charged with firing several rounds into two nearby homes when he saw his neighbors looking out of their windows.
Kasprzak was facing up to 82 years.

A retired Milwaukee police officer who pleaded guilty to shooting up the home of his estranged wife and two of her neighbors was sentenced Thursday to three consecutive five-year prison terms. Jack A. Kasprzak, 54, also received three one-year prison sentences, to run concurrently with the other sentences, and was ordered to serve 12 years on extended supervision, according to online state court records. Kasprzak was charged in September with three counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, use of a dangerous weapon and three counts of endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon for the Sept. 14 incident in the 2900 block of S. 46th St. According to a criminal complaint, Kasprzak shot up his ex-wife's home when she refused to come outside and talk with him and riddled her neighbors' homes with bullets when he noticed he had caught their attention.
