[Excerpts] A 20-year veteran of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office was fired this month after she was accused of harassing her husband’s ex-girlfriend by targeting her for an inappropriate traffic stop and repeatedly driving by her house. But the investigation was impeded when investigators found that someone had intentionally deleted the video feed from the hard drive of Cpl. Patricia Williams’ patrol car... The video could have been used to sustain or not sustain the allegations against her... Williams, 39, who was assigned to the agency’s North Naples district, denied erasing the video from the hard drive. However, she could not explain how it was erased, and began to cry. She initially consented to a polygraph test, but then changed her mind... In addition, the investigation also revealed that Williams had been inappropriately using the Sheriff’s Office Driver and Vehicle Information Database (DAVID), which contains biographical information and photos of registered Florida drivers.
