The fire chief in Oil City was placed on paid administrative leave Monday night after being arrested over the weekend for domestic abuse. The Caddo District 7 Fire Board decided to place Chief Kevin Moore on leave, during an emergency meeting. Moore is facing charges of domestic abuse and simple battery. The chairman of the board, Major Fant, resigned Monday afternoon. Fant tells KSLA News 12 he resigned because he didn't want there to be a conflict of interest. Moore works for the Caddo Parish Sheriff Department, which arrested Chief Moore.
