A woman whose husband apparently shot her in the head before killing himself Sunday night outside a Garland Wal-Mart was identified Monday as a jailer at the Decker Detention Facility in Dallas. Shyrica Monique Woods Porch, 28, is also a former New Orleans resident who came to Dallas after Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the Dallas County Sheriff's Department said. "Officer Porch has endured a lot," Sheriff Lupe Valdez said in a news release. "She is in all of our prayers." Ms. Porch remained in serious and stable condition in Parkland Memorial Hospital. Garland police said she was able to tell officers that her husband, 29-year-old Damon Raynall Porch, shot her about 7 p.m. during an argument outside the store, at North Garland Avenue and the Bush Turnpike.
