A suspended West Des Moines police officer is in trouble again. Police said Todd Cline, 41, was arrested on Nov. 14 in Marion County on a domestic abuse charge. WEST DES MOINES POLICE WERE INVESTIGATING THE INCIDENT WHEN CLINE WAS ARRESTED AGAIN. He has been suspended from the force since November. Monday, police said he was arrested in Marshall County and bonded out of jail. Cline faces several charges including burglary, domestic assault and violating a no contact order. Police said Cline resigned from his job on Jan. 1.

[Excerpts] A West Des Moines police officer resigned from his job last week after he was arrested for domestic assault [again]. Todd Cline, a patrol officer for 19 years, was charged in Marion County in mid-November for domestic abuse causing injury. Details of the alleged crime were not immediately available. Court records show a no-contact order filed against Cline by his wife...The West Des Moines department placed Todd Cline on administrative leave on Nov. 14, pending an internal investigation. "We take these things very seriously," Police Chief Jack O'Donnell said. "We dealt with it appropriately." Cline resigned on Jan. 1 from the department after he was arrested two more times in November and December for violating the no-contact order and tampering with a witness. Cline was arrested again on Monday in Marshall County. He is charged with felony burglary, domestic assault causing injury, tampering with a witness and violation of a no-contact order. He posted a $100,000 bond. Details of the alleged crimes were not immediately available... Of the nine charges Cline faces, the burglary charge carries the highest penalty: 25 years in prison...
