SALEM - Police charged a state representative with misdemeanor simple assault yesterday for allegedly restraining his wife at the couple's home. David Dalrymple, 65, turned himself in at the Salem police station yesterday afternoon, hours after police sought a warrant for his arrest. Dalrymple, R-Salem, was freed on bail, but must obey a temporary restraining order that bars contact with his wife. He is charged with a single count of domestic simple assault...
