[Excerpt] A sergeant with the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department is facing charges Sunday after discharging his rifle while Madison County Sheriff’s deputies were at his house to investigate a domestic dispute. When deputies arrived at 48-year-old Adam Bradley’s home on Eaton Brook Road late Saturday night, they were approached by a family member who told them Bradley was armed and hiding under a porch. At that time, a rifle was discharged.  But deputies are unsure of whether the shots were accidental or intentional. Deputies say they then surrounded Bradley’s home.  He surrendered without resistance soon after. Bradley is now facing two misdemeanor counts of menacing in the second degree.  He was released on $2,000 bail... [Full article here]

[Excerpts] ...Adam L Bradley is on paid administrative leave and is to report this morning to his department’s Professional Standards Unit, where his physical fitness for duty probably will be examined, paper work from the case will be reviewed and administrative action likely will be considered, Walsh said.... According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Bradley, 48, of 4014 Eatonbrook Road, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of second-degree menacing after a gun went off Saturday while Madison County deputies were investigating a domestic violence report at his home.
