Myspace photo albums that are open to the public (until I say this) seem to indicate there is kinky group behavior going on in connection to Iva PD. I hope no one is pressured.

[Excerpts] An Iva police officer who was suspended in September after being charged with making a threatening phone call to his estranged wife has resigned. Officer Curtis Hamilton Brickle, 29, cited personal reasons for his decision to quit on Tuesday, Iva Mayor Bobby Gentry said Friday... Brickle and his wife have filed for a divorce. The Pickens County Solicitor’s Office is handling the case against Brickle at the request of Anderson County prosecutors who wanted to avoid the appearance of any conflict... Before being hired in Iva, Brickle worked as a police officer in Honea Path. He was fired from that job in 2007 for violating town policies, Honea Path Police Chief David King said... After Friday’s meeting, Gentry declined to directly answer questions about an incident early Sunday in which the estranged wife of another Iva police officer was charged with two counts third-degree assault and battery. “I am not their parent,” Gentry said. Jennifer Striss, 33, is accused of beating two women at 320 Gray Circle in Iva about 1 a.m. Sunday, according to a police report. The two women, Crystal Michelle Macomson and Kimberly Gabrielle Manley, were taken to AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson for treatment of their injuries... Striss left in the scene of the altercation with Brickle in a white Ford truck, the police report said. After her arrest, Striss was released from the Anderson County Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond. Brickle has not been charged in connection with the incident. Gentry did say that Jennifer Striss and Iva police Sgt. Tim Striss are in divorce proceedings. Jennifer Striss was fired Monday from her job with Medshore Ambulance Service in Anderson... Manly said she suffered a severe neck injury during Sunday’s altercation and that she will have to wear a neck brace for the next three months. http://www.independentmail.com/news/2010/nov/12/suspended-iva-police-officer-resigns/?partner=yahoo_feeds

Witnesses saw Brickle kick two women in the head, detective says
ReplyDeleteDec. 17, 2010
[EXCERPTS] Four witnesses say they saw former Iva police officer Curtis Brickle kick two women in their heads during an altercation... One of the women that Brickle allegedly kicked, Kimberly Manley, 21, of Iva, suffered a fractured vertebra in her neck and a broken nose, Anderson County sheriff's Detective Robert Gebing said. The other victim, 20-year-old Iva resident Crystal Macomson, was treated for a concussion and a broken nose, Gebing said... At the conclusion of the hearing, Judge Dan Sharp ruled that there was probable cause to charge Brickle with two counts of second-degree assault and battery. Jennifer Striss, 33, also is charged with two counts of third-degree assault and battery in connection with the Nov. 7 incident. BRICKLE FACES CRIMINAL CHARGES IN TWO OTHER CASES. In September he was charged with unlawful communication after a threatening text message was left on his estranged wife's cell phone. Brickle also was charged Dec. 2 with criminal domestic violence. That charge involves an allegation that he assaulted Jennifer Striss. Striss has denied that she was the victim of an assault. Instead, she told investigators that she was hurt in a fall. https://archive.independentmail.com/news/local/witnesses-saw-brickle-kick-two-women-in-the-head-detective-says-ep-413681340-349481961.html
