A former Atlantic Beach police officer charged with misconduct in office will have a hearing in court next month.

Terrance Wiggins was scheduled to have a hearing Tuesday, but was re-scheduled because of administrative reasons. Wiggins is accused of having sex with a prostitute in exchange for not charging

her with a drug offense back in October 2007.

In July 2008, North Myrtle Beach Police charged Wiggins with Criminal Domestic Violence after police say he got into a fight with his live-in girlfriend.

The next day, a judge revoked Wiggins’ bond and ordered him to wear a GPS monitoring device after police said he violated the terms of his bond by returning to the home of the girlfriend.
