FORMER POLICE OFFICER ACCUSED OF ATTACKING WOMAN: Greenville Man Charged With Criminal Domestic Violence

[Excerpt] A former Greenville police officer is accused of assaulting a woman during a fight last month. According to the State Law Enforcement Division, 28-year-old Donald Ross Jr. was charged with criminal domestic violence... According to the warrant, the woman suffered bruises to her neck, arm and back. Jason Rampey, with the Greenville Police Department, said that Ross resigned from his position with the department on July 6, after being with the department since May 2006 as a uniform patrol officer. The charges were dropped because the victim asked them to be. She refused to let officers take pictures of her injuries, and asked that he take an anger management class.
