[Excerpts] Another federal officer is arrested for assaulting his wife, this time it’s a U.S. customs agents and the victim is pregnant. According to police 33-year-old Joel Gonzalez Jr. is facing charges of assault causing physical violence and domestic violence. This morning police received a call of a domestic dispute... The caller told police that she had been assaulted and the suspect was in her apartment. When officers arrived she had braces in her leg and she stated she was four months pregnant. Officers arrested Gonzalez and took him to the Webb County jail... Today border patrol released a statement saying quote" as public servant, the agents are rightly held to a higher standard of conduct and are subject to the same laws and rules that apply to private citizens...
