Mario Cunha wants his job back — and his life. The former Falmouth police officer resigned last summer after a former girlfriend filed a restraining order against him. Two weeks ago, Cape and Islands First Assistant District Attorney Michael Trudeau told the Bulletin that State Police officers attached to the DA’s office looked into the allegations and "it has been determined that no criminal charges will be sought." Cunha is now hoping to return to the Falmouth Police Department... "The State Police investigated for four of five months and ascertained that there was no credibility or corroboration to her statements— nothing," said Cunha’s attorney, J. Drew Segadelli. "I’m representing a gentleman who was nothing but a great police officer," said Segadelli, who is seeking to get the restraining order against him lifted as a way of helping Cunha "get his life back and his job"...
