Jury Selection Nearly Done In Highmore Shooting

A jury was expected to be in place by midday Thursday in the trial of a former Highmore police chief who is charged with slaying his wife 13 months ago. Finding jurors to consider Ken Huber's fate has been difficult. Many people questioned in the jury selection process said they believe he is guilty or were leaning that way. Picking an impartial jury has also been complicated because many of those considered for jury duty have ties to the close-knit Highmore community, where Pam Huber was popular. The woman was shot once in the forehead as she slept. Her husband claims it was an accident.
