A Baltimore police officer was arrested on a domestic violence charge after allegedly assaulting his wife, who is also a city police officer, said Anthony J. Guglielmi, a police spokesman. The officer arrested, Arnold L. Ford Jr., 39, has been on the force two years. He was taken into custody about 2 p.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Grantley St. in Northwest Baltimore, police said. Police commanders took his badge and gun, and his police powers have been suspended, Guglielmi said. Other details about the incident were not immediately available. Police did not release the name of his wife, who is 40 and has been a city officer for 21 years. She was treated at a local hospital for an injury to her hand, police said.
