[Excerpts] A Terre Haute police officer, currently serving a 10-day suspension without pay, says he will not appeal that disciplinary action. Keith Mowbray began serving the suspension, issued for “conduct unbecoming an officer,” on Wednesday, the same day Police Chief John Plasse notified the THPD merit board of the suspension... Terre Haute City Attorney Chou-il Lee stated that on Aug. 12, Mowbray “advised a Vigo County Central Dispatch Officer to disregard a request for police assistance involving a personal situation between Detective Mowbray and a citizen; in a departmental vehicle while wearing his department issued gun and badge, Detective Mowbray arrived at the residence of a citizen with whom he had a personal relationship; and a record of similar violations is evidenced in Detective Mowbray’s disciplinary file.” “There was no domestic problem at all,” Mowbray told the Tribune-Star on Thursday, referring to the Aug. 12 incident. “It was an ex-girlfriend causing trouble.
