[Excerpts] A Superior police officer is being held in the Carlton County Jail on misdemeanor domestic assault charges. Daniel Hawkin II, 43, of Duluth, a sergeant in the Superior Police Department, was arrested by Duluth police about 11:45 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report that Hawkin was involved in a domestic dispute.
