[Excerpts] Internal affairs investigations of three Palm Beach County sheriff's deputies for alleged misconduct in their personal relationships resulted in one termination, one resignation and one suspension... Deputy Ron Kelley, hired in 2007 and assigned to Mangonia Park, was suspended for 10 days for rear-ending his ex-girlfriend's car in West Palm Beach, then driving off and denying he did it. His former girlfriend was driving home on Dec. 9, 2007, when she noticed a Ford Ranger, driven by Kelley, behind her. He began shouting at her. She tried to get away but said Kelley struck her car and drove off. Kelley told West Palm Beach police he was not involved in the crash and was at home at the time. He was found to have violated the Sheriff's Office rules and regulations: committing a misdemeanor and untruthfulness. West Palm Beach police filed criminal mischief charges against Kelley but they were dropped after the woman declined to prosecute.
