A 15-year veteran of the Metro Police Department has been arrested on charges he assaulted his wife. Sgt. Marti Roberts, who is a supervisor in the North Precinct's patrol division, was decommissioned Tuesday night. According to police, one of Roberts' children called 911 while the parents were fighting, and his wife told police Roberts tore her shirt and scratched her during an argument. The incident is being investigated by the Domestic Violence division, and the Office of Professional Accountability has launched an investigation into Roberts' conduct. [Link]
