Rochester firefighter charged again
01/06/2009
A Rochester city firefighter is in trouble again with the law. News 10NBC has learned that Justin Manns has been charged with second-degree harassment. Paperwork from city court says that Manns punched a woman in the face last night. Last February Manns was charged with assault and harassment after his ex-girlfriend said he hit and threatened her. The woman eventually dropped those charges. Last night's incident also happened at the same address as the February incident. Rochester Deputy Chief Sam Mitrano said Manns did make the Fire Department aware of the arrest last night. The Fire Department plans to interview Manns about the incident and is waiting for paperwork from the Rochester Police Department. Mitrano says the Fire Department will follow through as needed and decide if future discipline needs to be taken, such as changing his duty status if the arrest affects his ability to serve the community.
How manly - to make it to the news a second time for hitting a woman.
