A Dallas County sheriff's deputy is on paid leave after being arrested Saturday morning. According to a press release from the Dallas County Sheriff's Office, Deputy Chris Johansen was arrested on domestic assault charges after a warrant for his arrest had been issued.
Johansen was also charged with operating while under the influence first offense, open container and failure to maintain control. The sheriff's office refused to comment further on the charges.
The state Division of Criminal Investigations is handling the domestic assault investigation. Deputy Johansen was released from the county jail Sunday morning after appearing in front of a magistrate. [LINK]

A Dallas County deputy was arrested on domestic assault charges early Saturday morning and is now on paid administrative leave. Deputy Chris Johansen was arrested at 12:05 a.m. Saturday at U.S. Highway 169 and 215th Street in Dallas County after a warrant for his arrest was issued Friday for domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury, according to a Dallas County Sheriff’s Office news release. Johansen, an employee at the sheriff’s office since December 2002, was also charged on Saturday with operating while intoxicated, open container and failure to maintain control. He was taken to Dallas County Jail and was released Sunday after appearing before a Dallas County judge. The Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating to avoid conflicts of interest. Johansen is on paid leave while the investigation continues. DCI agent Mike Motsinger said the Dallas County dispatch center received a 911 call at 3:53 a.m. Friday from Johansen’s home. [LINK]
Chris Johansen was found innocent of all charges except the OWI which he pleaded guilty too. This web site should be sued for still having him in here and not posting that information.

ReplyDeletePeople use the word "innocent" loosely when commenting here. They usually mean cleared, were allowed to plea bargain, or the charges were just dropped.
ReplyDeleteInnocent is not used loosely, innocence was proven by a court of law. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. The info isn't updated because this is a poorly updated and managed site, you dumb mother fucker. This is an honorable man who was unjustly accused of a crime he didn't commit.
