LMPD HOMICIDE DETECTIVE ON PAID LEAVE AFTER SEPTEMBER INCIDENT

The lead homicide detective on Katie McCoy's case is on administrative duty and had his police powers taken away while Metro Police investigate his actions. Tony Finch has been on paid administrative duty since September, when his ex-wife got a Domestic Violence Order against him. That order has since been dismissed, but Finch's attorney tells WHAS11 News the information is the root of the internal investigation.
