[Excerpts] Bartow's fire chief and his wife were arrested Wednesday night on domestic violence charges. Jay Robinson, 40, and Shelli Robinson, 37, were each charged with one count of battery/domestic violence, and released the same day... Both Robinsons were taken to Polk County jail, and let go on pre-trial release. Both said they were not injured and declined medical attention... On Thursday morning, Acting City Manager Linda Culpepper placed Robinson on administrative leave with pay, a customary practice, pending resolution of the case...
