BOISE - The former Cascade police chief accused of killing his wife and leaving her in a hot tub is out on bail. Blair Hall's wife was found unconscious in a hot tub at the couple’s home in Calimesa, California in June. Hall spent time as police chief in both Cascade and Emmett before moving to California. He had a preliminary hearing in Riverside County court Monday, where a judge found enough evidence to take the case to trial. Hall posted a $1 million bond and was released from jail in August. He is not allowed to leave Riverside County and cannot violate any laws – or his bail could be revoked and he would be sent back to jail. His next court date is set for November 27. A spokesperson for the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office says the trial could begin in the next year. Hall was convicted of embezzling $20,000 in Cascade in 2000.
