[ME] Ex-Officer Reininger is in the news for guns again

REININGER'S GUNS
...Dustin S. Reininger, 36, claimed to not have any weapons at first, according to police...

It's very hard for me to not say more here - since I have had several email correspondences with Mr. Reininger. But after some poking around I see that selling guns, ammo, and security services are his registered, licensed businesses.

Previous post:
[ME] Officer Reininger arrested for armed threatening of his wife - ...Dustin [Shane] Reininger, 35, is charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. The sheriff's department said Reininger's wife accused him of threatening her with a gun at their home...

COPS SEIZE GUN CACHE FROM MAN DOZING IN CAR
Mar 21, 2009
[Excerpts] Police investigating a man sleeping in his car in central New Jersey got a lot more than they bargained for. The man was dozing in a green sport-utility vehicle parked behind a Wachovia Bank in Readington early Friday morning. When police approached, they saw two guns on the back seat. Dustin Reininger told them he also had a handgun and an assault rifle. That turned out to be only part of the story. After towing the car to police headquarters, 23 rifles were discovered, including five classified as assault weapons... [Full article here]l

MAN SNOOZING IN CAR SEIZED ON GUN CHARGES

[Excerpts] ...Dustin S. Reininger, 36, claimed to not have any weapons at first, according to police. When the officer asked about the rifles on the back seat, Reininger admitted he also had a handgun and an AR-15 assault rifle. He said none of the guns [were] loaded and that they were all registered to him... After the vehicle was towed to headquarters, police got a search warrant and discovered 23 rifles, five of which are classified as assault rifles, and three handguns, one of which was loaded, as well as numerous magazines and ammunition. Reininger was charged with possession of an assault rifle, possession of a handgun without a permit and possession of high-capacity magazines and hollow-point bullets. He may face other charges, police said. He was being held yesterday in the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail. Police are still investigating whether guns are registered to him. 1. Did you find in your "Poking around' that it is his job to stick a gun in his wife's face? Great dtective work

  2. That's old news and referenced above.

If a cop points a gun at his wife, it's usually the face or at least the head...

over and over and over and over again...

It's so sad how women are executed this way by those who are out there upholding the law.

It's so sad how many women never tell anyone because they are convinced that no one will help them because it's an officer.

It's an out rage how many officer's can walk away from HORRENDOUS acts, simply resign, and never be held legally responsible.

It's understandable how many victims don't want to go through with the charges or recant.

    ReplyDelete
  3. How can you be in "contact" with him via email if he is in jail on $100,000.00 bail?

You were probably in"contact" with his father.

    ReplyDelete
  4. His wife dropped the charges because she was so fearful of him. There is a lot more to this story.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I don't like your tone, but I'll answer you anyway. He was emailing me beFORE this current trouble.

  6. Fear is the main reason victim's drop the charges. I would fear him too.

  7. Reininger has been living in Rockport, TX since June 08; so just moving, no! ME released the collected weapons in his last debacle. This guy seems capable of anything.

    ReplyDelete
  8. So is he running guns back and forth?

    That's no consolation.

Hmmm... he seems to be cleared for a lot of things but dealing guns isn't one of them - at least not on those pages.

    http://www.soginternational.com/

But when I run a search for

    sog international reininger

...I also get this in the search results though his name is not visible on the page:

    https://www.southernohiogun.com/index.php/

So I was thinking maybe he deals guns.

I guess he does. OR he's got a klan race war camp down there. OR an unathorized (?) homeland security blah blah blah training going on - LOTS of fired cops do.

Or maybe his legitimacy is on record elsewhere. :)

WHY do I do this? WHY do I blog about men with arsenals?

    oh my goodness...

I will leave the blog entries up but sometimes I do come take the comments I've made down.

I have a responsibility to live if I can because I'm a parent.

Oh look, he made it to NBC New York

I appologize for the tone it was not intended. I'm familiar with this guy and was thinking "did he con someone into letting him get to a computer"! Highly unlikely however he is a good BS artist, that's how he's managed to stay afloat for so long until now.

  13. This major threat to us all has been released from jail in New Jersey. I would like to know how he was able to post the $100,000 cash bail...yes I said $100,000 cash!

    ReplyDelete
  14. The information on this site is accurate -- everything posted. He did make the 100,000 bail. He has 2 ex wives, children from both. He does NOT sell weapons as part of his business. He collects. He moved last summer but comes up to Maine to visit one of the children (supervised visits) that a Maine GUARDIAN ALLOWS AND PROMOTES despite these recent charges. There is so much I could say but cannot endanger these 2 women more. They need as much support as they can get.

  15. Also important to note that these weapons were released by the DA in Maine WHILE PHONE HARRASSMENT CHARGES WERE PENDING.

  17. The only thing I know besides the news report is what Dustin has written me - at length.

I'm not going to out him by sharing in public what he has said to me, but what I want to know - because these blog entries ARE very damning to his efforts to work - is was there any evidence of his abuse / harassment besides someone saying it happened.

The problem I have with what Dustin has written to me is that it's hard to believe that police would arrest fellow-police without probable cause evidence beyond a victim's words.

The words of a victim of cop dv don't usually hold that much weight.

I have never removed someone from my blog, but I try to stay open to any situation that is really "different" - trying to not clump all folks accused of abuse together.

Is he incredibly unlucky in life or a liar?

    It's one of the two.

I don't know what these recent weapon charges are about, what his intent was with the weapons, or what laws he's broken.

My focus isn't how many weapons he has because to kill someone or make them fear for their lives you only need one.

I would like assurance that Dustin is supposed to be on this blog.

I always question myself. This blog is not a game - it really effects the lives of the people posted here.

This morning I thought it's not right to declare this man guilty when I am not privvy to the facts.

    I want to be.
    I won't post them - but I need assurance.

Get a new hotmail account and write me anonymously - send me something.

Dustin, I know you are reading all this and seething. You offered to provide some things too. I will hear you. Upload it somewhere and send me the link to what you said you could provide.

Like all the blog's posted cops you present an opposite view of yourself - but I always have to ask myself,

    what if this is different?

    I should always ask that.
    What if.

To victims genuinely fearing him, don't worry or think I'm not there for you. I am crossing my t's and dotting my i's.

How devastating a stain on my own soul if I am ever wrong, not to mention the harm I could cause.

    Always soul-searchin'.

  18. I have backed up these blog entries and am sending all I have to two outspoken internet activists just in case anything happens to me.

Sometimes I get a glimpse of how dangerous this kind of blogging can be.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Those trying to protect themselves cannot offer evidence without serious consequences. There are REASONS these types of men do not have people come forward. Men like this often provide their own "evidence" and it may even be convincing but it is always orchestrated and a result of serious mental/physical abuse. I've seen men like this convince very smart, professional women to do things they would never do otherwise. Please do not entice this man to post things, the more you reel him in, the more havoc he will cause.

    ReplyDelete
  20. The ex's of the same perp often are so afraid that they can't even talk to each OTHER.

He already has written me a couple of times. I'm not asking him to post here, but to send ME the link to what he has already told me that he has.

And I have never shared publicly anything told to me by a victim. Even if she WANTS me to I usually won't because of the danger to her.

The stories on the blog where I talk to the victim behind the scenes - unless they have become public activists or speakers on the subject - I don't ever mention that I've ever spoken to them.

[I often do mention if an accused person contacts me - for several reasons.]

With all the murders I've recorded here, I really do get how dangerous this is for everyone involved - and not just from reading about it.

One woman was killed after starting a blog on her ex. Victims posting details is very dangerous.

Anyone posting about a dangerous person who can be identified by what they share is taking a huge risk.

  21. Thank you everyone for the support of the two wives. You have no idea what they are dealing with, there is so much more. His main weapon is trying to control their children which is one of the many reasons they are both so fearful of him. They stayed knowing that the children would be alone with him. The courts send kids right back to abusers.

    ReplyDelete
  22. This guy always uses the nut and slut defense. His exes are nuts, have abused HIM, threatened HIM, and are adulterers. That's his (untrue) trademark. He is always the "victim" of everything in his life, that's always his claim. You'd be amazed at how many people sympathize with him, including fellow officers.

Abuse isn't just physical, it also when one parent with control issues uses the child as a pawn to get back at the other parent.

  24. He doesn't "collect" firearms, he hoards weapons.

Just look at the picture and take notice of the "new age" weapons.

A true collector may have some of different makes, many "older" firearms, not duplicates of the same "new age" firepower.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Very good distinction between "hoarding weapons" and "collecting". He always says "collecting". He's attacking Ex #1 again legally and through the child. History is repeating itself. Still after Ex #2 legally. Nightmare never ends.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It's really strange that he would claim he was moving since he's been living in Rockport, TX since early 2008, and the luggage was due to the fact he was in Maine visiting his second child from his second marriage, not to mention he had the weapons because the York County Sheriff's Office released the weapons back to him from his previous weapons arrest in Maine.

I wonder how he "pays Daddy and Mommy" back for the $100,000.00 cash bond that was posted to get him out of jail?

Better yet how does he financially function when he's never really held steady employment for any real length of time?

Daddy and Mommy must be "real" understanding parents, if he has any siblings I wonder how they feel about this special treatment or are they all of the same ilk?

  27. How do you own a 2000, 28.8 ft Chaparral recreational boat during his employment as a “part time” police officer?

    Hmmmmmmmmmm!

    ReplyDelete
  28. He has owned his own business for about 10 years according to him and hires out security guards. Narcissists can make great business people. He let the boat go to afford other things. Looks like he's opened a new office in Corpus Christi, Texas. Great, he can keep up with his attorney fees so he can keep the abuse going through the courts.

The "evidence" he is offering you are voice recordings. He records everyone everywhere he goes including in person, phone, etc. When convincing women to drop charges against him, he threatens to use the voicemails and claim that they are crazy. When women have been abused for years, and told they are crazy for years, they can believe abusers very easily. He has recorded both wives extensively to use in the courts (this is legal in some states if one party is notified). One of the most convincing things he does is talk to the wives ahead of time, threaten them in multiple ways and then get them to agree to call him back and cooperate by saying what he wants them to say to get the charges dropped or whatever his goal is. He also gets them to do this in writing by the same means. So his voicemails are highly orchestrated but very convincing to others that are not educated in domestic violence or realize he is scripting and manipulated the wives ahead of time to cooperate and work with him to meet his goals.

With everything I've read about this individual how can he call himself a "man"?

    Uses his child(ren)to "get back" at the ex's! All of this in time WILL come back to bite him, especially when he hears his child(ren)say "I remember when;

you wouldn't let me see my mother!"

when you were mean to her!"

when you talked bad about her!"

    Etc,etc, etc!

Yes in time it will all come back!

  31. AnonymousMay 27, 2009

With his history I seriously doubt "He let the boat go to afford other things."

It was probably more like he hid it until the repo company found it.

This guy is a real piece of work.

    ReplyDelete
  32. AnonymousMay 27, 2009

    They did.

    ReplyDelete
  33. AnonymousMay 28, 2009

Yes, it was repossessed, what I mean by "let it go" is that he decided not to use his money to make the payment and use his usual manipulation to get the bank to give him some sort of deal. He hid it in the back yard of his home while he made the deal. Who knows what really happened with the "deal" or whether it even existed.

I agree, his kids will hopefully see the situation, but unfortunately kids can also be so abused, especially emotionally, that they have lost part of themselves if it occurs before a certain age and the abuse is not stopped. It's hard to get the courts to give you supervised visits, even in horrible circumstances. The courts almost always give access right back to the abuser and the statistics are horrifying on how many abusers keep abusing their own children. Both wives have worked so hard to protect their children but the fight is continuous and money is limited and his seems to not be. I cannot believe what abusers can do through the courts in this day and age even when the one abused has an incredible attorney. For example, I am aware of another woman who has been taken back to court yet again by her ex (an abuser) for moving 1.5 miles over the 30 mile limit for the move in their state. She moved for employment salary increase because he is not paying child support.

Now if only his ex's and children could get some relief from his control and manipulating via a conviction and jail time.

You remind me of Reininger - who I HAVE communicated with in the past, and I find it interesting that if you are unrelated to these situations that you would dig so deeply into the victims' past but not his.

You asked for Evidence and the information I gave you on Ex-Wife 1 & 2 is Public Information and the truth. I believe you would have a responsibility to your readers and to people that are truly family of & victims of Domestic Violence to print the Truth. If it turns out the Ex-Wife #2 is Lying then it would mean that the girl abused the system as well as abused your trust and basically places negative creditability upon your site. Your site and cause doesn’t need negative creditability, I say this because your comments appears you are backing the Ex-Wife. The research I have done shows Ex-Wife #2 has some serious Mental Health Issues with a history of making False Reports, First Name Changes, Can’t hold down any job even with a Degree, Excessive moving. All of her history started prior to her Ex-Husband #2. This information is probably the information the Prosecutor came up with as well. All I could find on Ex-Husband #2 is what you have documented already, his bad luck did not start until after he married Ex-Wife #2. From my research the DV Laws in Maine allow and demand that Law Enforcement make an arrest on any DV allegation regardless of the evidence. This would be because of the over wheeling amount of the DV problem in Maine. Look at the Maine News and you will see all of the DV Head Lines, it’s a terrible place. The Courts there are overwhelmed with DV Cases. The Prosecutors Office then conducts the investigation after the arrest and dismisses if there is no evidence. If you think really hard if a Women wanted to get custody of the Kids what would she do, what would a women do to get custody if she had a Mental Health Issue? In Maine DV is the only Offense where a person is arrested with a Lack of Evidence. In reference to her Ex-Husband #2 whom is the subject of your Blog a search of Property in Maine shows that the Residence Sold right around the NJ Drama so it would appear he was moving or at least moving the rest of the property he had in Maine.

  39. You still claiming to be a criminal justice student just passing by?

    ReplyDelete
  40. AnonymousJune 13, 2009

For the "criminal justice student just passing by" -- most abusers will state their ex-wives or significant others have mental health issues, jaded pasts, etc. That's a classic part of the abuser profile. He has stated numerous times that some of his family, his wives, or anyone who crosses him have "mental health issues" -- classic abuser behavior, classic sociopath behavior. You might want to switch schools so you can be better educated on the matters of domestic violence and the psychology of criminals as well -- especially since some of the individuals involved, the ex-wives for example, were given formal and extensive psychological evaluations because of his allegations of mental health issues. It turns out that the ex-wive's results showed there were no mental health issues...you might want to dig into the results of HIS psychological evaulation, let him show you his. In fact, I bet one of the ex's would be happy to share their psychological evaluation with the person who runs this site. I wonder if he'd share his....and include every page.

He moved long before the house sold. He returned to Maine for a supervised visit and to pick up his weapons that had been confiscated in the first arrest. OH and most importantly! His problems, on public record, started with Ex #1 because, God Forbid, she wanted to see her son!

It seems the blogger has a lot of person interest in their writings.

They have evidence, because it's public information? In most states "evidence" is only public information when you go down to the court records and pay to get a copy, (unless you are a party of the civil suit and in that case you would already have a copy provided by your attorney) and the court records division only allows you to obtain a copy if the case isn't still being ajudicated.

You have a very valid point!

I'm still trying to learn this "blogging" process.

Thanks for all your work on this site.

  47. Yeah, blogs that expose embarassing private issues, accusations of burning cats as a child, being molested as a child, children details at all, comments that say you're fat... I just have to take them one at a time and figure out where it fits. I have some posts where I was asked by law enforcement officials to let it rip... and in those instances I do. People running their mouths on blogs can really work against them.

When someone is being investigated, even if I don't post the comment, I do archive it in case they are requested.

I back up my files once a week and keep a copy outside of my home.

  48. I have learned how to identify Mr. Reininger's comments. What I have let through are milder samples just to display how he thinks. They DO cross the line, and so most of them cannot be posted here.

Another ex-deputy presented a lengthy comment on another post. At that time I believed it was written genuinely to present his side of the story, and I offered him - and he accepted - to have his comment posted as a new blog post. I let him use the blog.

So I am not against an accused person giving voice. It's how maliciously or genuinely it is presented.

  49. I know that state agency's have "bigger" fish to fry. However how can Dustin run a Texas security company with a Texas security license, and reside in Maine? This is against Texas licensing requirements. I guess he used the address of a family member and the Texas agency governing this issue didn't have the time to investigate. So most of his net income from his company was spend in Maine for those years, instead of in Texas. Oh well I guess that is a loss to the Texas economy.

Maybe, just maybe, the children and wives can have some peace. The abuse continues. Can't say any more. Thank you for the support again for these women. You might wonder, why can't something be done? Sadly, it's just not possible a lot of the time. When people know how to get around the law, they are almost unstoppable...until someone ends up dead. This site is one of the few ways to show the details of what can go on in these situations. The site author is an amazing person for keeping this page up and showing how things occur in these situations and how horrifying it is. I always use to think somehow, some way, victims of abuse can eventually heal and find some sort of stability. In some cases, this is nearly impossible because most abusers never give up, they just find other ways to reach their goals.

    ReplyDelete
  53. The way you put what you said, "most abusers never give up, they just find other ways to reach their goals..." - really struck me. We know it, but you put it so clearly.

A Dr. Thomas out of Maine wrote in a report that she is “Extremely vindictive person” “Especially in Serious Relationships and in Marriage” “She has used their Daughter against him by telling their daughter inappropriate things about him.” She continues to tell people that she has a Protection Order against him when it is not true. She has attempted to get a total of 15 Temporary Protection Orders against him out of 3 different courts all of which have been dismissed and or turned down. She has filed 5 different False Criminal Charges against him in multiple jurisdictions all of which have been dismissed or turned down. She has no evidence of abuse what so ever because she was never abused by Him. Because of her history of attempting suicide he has not filed anything against her other than filing for Divorce in 2008. Where can I send documentation to to prove what I am saying is true, or would you prefer I log dates and court docket numbers? All he wants to do is see his daughter and she continues to not co-operate in letting him see his daughter. She has tried multiple time to get back together with him but he doesn’t want to because of the history of false reports.

    ReplyDelete
  64. HA HA HA HA HA I laughed so hard when I read this. Yeah, she's trying so hard to get back together with him that she's now engaged to another man.

    ReplyDelete
  65. This is actually good news, maybe she will stop making false allegations about him and concentrate on her new victim.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The only place they are false is in his delusional little mind....you list information on here as "fact" but offer no evidence that it is true. For example...what report are you referring to and how would this "Dr. Thomas" (assuming he/she exists) have information on this case? How do you know this "Dr. Thomas" actually exists?

    ReplyDelete
  67. O’ Dr. Kathryn Thomas (Behavioral Specialist & Forensic Evaluations) very much exists and I am very surprised that she has no idea who Dr. Thomas is, because she was Court Ordered to pay for her services in the Fall of 2008. Let us not forget the 6 other Counselors that she went to and terminated their services when they wanted to discuss her history. Let us not forget the other FIRST name changes she had prior to her new Ex. Names like Lauren, Lori, Loren, Jane, Janet, Brittany, and last but not least her show name Bunny. She even tried using his 1st Ex-Wife’s name. I have all of this as evidence, written and documented as well as boxes of other documentation and months of research. Her new victim is also a Public Servant just like her 1st & 2nd. History is repeating itself.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Let me know when I should stop posting these. It's getting very personal again. Any mention of kids is off limits.

If y'all have no contact orders and are writing to each on here my advice would be to stop it.

    ReplyDelete
  69. LOL...again...no proof. If you have a copy of this alleged report, prove it. Considering that we KNOW she is not sharing information with you, the fact that you state her current is a public servant is more proof that you continue to STALK AND HARASS HER!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I don’t want to get into an argument and or communicate with anyone other than the readers to state that she was never abused, stalked, and or harassed by him. People have the right to know that she LIED because he left her and she is trying to keep their daughter from him. She is not a Victim of Domestic Violence and has thus abused the system as well as the trust from those supporting her. This has been documented with 2 orders against her telling her to STOP. He only wants to be a Father to their Daughter and the Drama to Stop. He has no interests in her what so ever, he doesn’t care, he divorced her. He went thru counseling with her when Married and she canceled and sabotaged the counseling, she did not want to help herself, and because of her false allegations he walked away and has no interests in her what so ever. It is known that her current is a Public Servant because she threatened him with it in front of a witness in attempts to HARASS him into not seeing their daughter. This does need to stop, although he deserves to be defended.

  71. Interesting how Anonymous attacks the other writer with “an engagement” which doesn’t really matter and then “delusional little mind”, provides no defense to the other writers statements of “Numerous False Allegations”, and then in the last Post she Laughs and Yells at the time, very interesting. I can only imagine how their daughter is being affected.

    ReplyDelete
  72. So what you are saying is that Dustin has a physical copy of this alleged report in his hands that he has shown to you?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Again, you offer no proof. You claim he has evidence of these alleged mental health issues, make vague referrences to a "Dr. Thomas Report" but offer no proof. Does Dustin have a copy of this report in his hands that he has shown you as proof that what he says is true?

  76. The "Dustin has Proof" saga is getting to sound like a Tom Clancy tome!

I recently heard that since his release from jail in NJ he and his father have denied Ex-1 visitation with their child!

    What a man!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Does anyone have any information on his NJ trial or hearing?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Sometimes I don't know for sure what to post and what to not let through. I am looking at the visitation comment and wonder what the purpose of it is. It sounds like something that public opinion has no impact on, and posting it can't fix the situation if it's true. That sounds like a court issue. So, what IS the purpose of posting it then? It won't make anyone think badly of Mr. Reininger because anyone who has been through divorce issues knows there is always at least two sides. I've been through the visitation stuff and cannot IMAGINE how much worse in the end for our child it would have been if we anonymously poked each other online. It was bad enough.

The main goal for me was trying to not have any further negative effect on our child.

    ReplyDelete
  79. YES, I agree the worse thing about Divorce is what it puts the kids thru. This entire Divorce has centered around the Kids, please do not involve them here. Please do not post anything about the Kids.

    ReplyDelete
  80. So, has he been to trial yet or is his attorney playing the "delay" game?

    ReplyDelete
  81. What's the status on his NJ trial?

    Anyone out there know?

    ReplyDelete
  82. It's due to be dismissed, he was moving from State to State and is protected under Federal Law.

    ReplyDelete
  83. His Ex-Wife has been served with Contempt of Court Documents for numerous Contempt Charges.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I have a few comments here:

    1. Anyone can file contempt whether the person is in contempt or not. All that means is that he continues to harass her through the courts. Assuming there actually ARE contempt charges, they are meaningless unless the court upholds them.

    2. When was the last time he paid child support? My understanding is that he hasn't paid for a very long time...so who's in contempt here?

    3. As for New Jersey, there are no federal laws governing transport. He had 23 rifles, 5 of which are classified as assult rifles, plus at least one loaded handgun. Considering he was charged with posession of an assault rifle, possession of a handgun without a permit, posession of high-capacity magazines and possessions of hollow point bullets I seriously doubt all charges will be dropped. Hollow points aren't legal for anyone not in law inforcement (and he isn't anymore) in ANY state, not even in Texas where he lives. If he was only transporting he had no reason to load any of them. Oh, and why does ANYONE need HIGH CAPACITY magazines?

    ReplyDelete
  85. All of the Firearms, Ammo to Include Hollow Points, and Magazines are all legal in Maine where he was moving from and in Texas where he was moving to. Look up the Federal Code, it allows people to move from one state to another with their firearms. These maybe not legal in NJ and other states but US Code allows people to move thru those states. On the Contempt, I am sure it will stick as it is well over due. O' and I think she is the one harassing him through the courts, law enforcement, and thru this site, he has never filed anything against her but Divorce and now Contempt, she has filed numerous protection orders and false allegations which never go anywhere because people are seeing that she is not being honest. Again it all has to do with her trying to keep their Daughter from him and her hiding her personal problems which span from her past. God always has his way with people whom abuse others and allot of people are hoping that justice takes place with her, her false allegations, her abuse toward him, and their daughter. I ask that you await actual court out comes before you stone someone to death. The other people whom suffer from this is actual victims of domestic violence, when people lie to try and get away with things and hide trying to portray themselves as victims then people start to question real victims more and thus real needed protection is not given. If those whom lie are not held accountable for lying then what do you think will occur with real victims? How will those whom really need protection be taken seriously?

    ReplyDelete
  86. What will happen to the "real" victims is what is happening to this very real victim. Once she removed his physical access to her the abuse has been continued through the court system and through public forums such as this.

As for dropping orders of protection, this is a well documented behavior among victims of abuse. The abuser threatens and intimidates the victim into relenting. It is this very thing that has caused many states to remove the choices from the victim and have abuse charges initiate from the state. The abuser can't intimidate the state into dropping the charges.

Dustin is the one who needs to look himself in the mirror and give HIMSELF this speech about the consequences of lying about domestic violence. He is the perpetrator and and BOTH exes are very real victims in this case.

Again, if his only purpose was transport, why were any of them loaded? Also, my understanding is that New Jersey does allow transport but they have to be UNLOADED and secured in the trunk (or far back in the case of an SUV)...not strewn about the vehicle. And again...LOADED?!?!?! And...Ignorance of the law is not a valid defense.

    ReplyDelete
  87. He has never abused her and or threatened her, there is no evidence what so ever to that effect. All Civil and Criminal Related charges relating to her and him has been dropped. Yet she continues her lies. There is a Police Report on file where she tells the Police she has a Protection Order on him when in fact she did not. She has had a history of problems in her life dating back prior to him ever coming into her life where she has also destroyed other peoples lives. Her biological family will not even speak with her and they have documentation on file to keep her away. I don’t know who you are but you have not done any fact checking, you are going completely by what she is stating, you can’t stone a person to death just by someone’s word, this is a Democracy. Imagine putting people to death just based upon someone’s word or even taking away their life and kids. Imagine all of the Divorces out there where people would throw their hands in the air and say “HE” or even “SHE” hit me just to have their spouse killed so they can have everything to include the kids. That is absolute insanity. You are contradicting yourself by stating that the courts can keep Domestic Violence Charges and can’t be intimated and at the same statement your stating that his Ex was intimated to drop the charges. There is a specific and good reason why the State and or Court has not charged him and or kept the charges, it’s because she is lying and she has no evidence, the abuse from him to her did not occur. So don’t contradict yourself. Maine has a very high rate of domestic violence, trust me, if they get a DV Case that is true they will Prosecute and give that person Jail Time. Another thing, you have nothing to back your claim of him abusing her thru the courts, he’s never filed anything but Divorce and Contempt because she will not allow him to see their daughter and because she has been Court Ordered to stop her abuse of him thru her numerous unsuccessful attempts at Protection Orders. She has attempted Numerous Criminal Charges and Protection Orders against him and they live 5,000 miles apart and he’s only filed 2 things in court where she has filed like well over 20. If anything he is protecting her, for what ever reason is beyond me, but he has the evidence that she has lied on her criminal allegations and he has not handed it over for False Statement Charges to be made thru the State. Such false statements would be a Felony because I am sure she has destroyed his life. If she is doing this on purpose she needs to have consequences and prevention but not stoned to death. If she has Mental Health problems then she needs Professional Counseling, help, and if need be Medication to Function Properly. Both of them need to be Professional both Mentally and Morally for at least their Children’s sake. It’s their job together to be Parents to their kids regardless if Divorced or Not, remarried or not. God did not intend on Kids being raised up missing one parent or the other. It does the Kids no good at all to have one parent in a Mental Intuition and another in Jail. These kids are the Victims of this drama. Think about how these kids are going to grow up.

  92. What exact laws was he breaking? Having "a whole bunch of guns" in a car may seem scary, but we live in the US, and guns aren't illegal. So was it the type of guns? the number? the fact that they're in a vehicle? the fact he had had previous charges? News articles never tell us these basic answers. They just say "It was really scary so the cops arrested him!" and expect us to just accept it.

Shane aka sean told persons in Rockport that he had a job in Atlanta, and others that he was heading south to Belize. I believe both to be a ruse. Design speed of the Vega is aprox 5 knots sail or power. He left Rockport at aprox 0830.
He has very limited sailing ability, so I would geuss he would be motoring. I suspect he hasn't gotten 50 miles. When I tried to file the theft of service charges yesterday I didn't know he was using an alias, so I will go today with his real name and info gleaned from this and other websights. Look for him from port o'conner to port mansfield on the icw. if he attempts a gulf crossing look for him to be lost. I am worried for the 11 year old more than my money. He had someone retrieve the short wheel base older body style chevy sport side pick up (black and dark purple, lowered), that he was using in Rockport.

  104. PLEASE HELP this woman. I cannot identify myself out of safety. She has a court date that she has had to wait a YEAR for to try to get her son and he is aware of but he will not show. Woodboatwayne, you are so thanked for coming forward. If it helps to know, he doesn't go after people like you, only his ex-wives and children. Although I'm sure you can well take care of yourself. His second wife and children are well protected now, they have an order of protection and a high level of police surveilance. His first wife, however, is not. She has very limited resources AND is still paying him child support! Anyone that can help, I read this and might be able to point in the right direction. I have predicted him from day one.

  105. There was a report made to the Rockport Police, paperwork/phone numbers offered, included how to verify the arrest warrant and was told Dustin was long gone by now, they told this person the police could check the residence but that's all they could do. Are you kidding me??? When can a child be reported missing? His first wife is probably too scared to go to the police! Those weapons NJ has are NOT the only ones he owns, nevermind what he can get.

As I said in the last post, there are other agencies that ARE interested. As your post mentions "what he can get". Before leaving on the boat he hung his son's puppy with a short rope. What a guy. He will be caught, and I hope

  113. As far as the past problems of Ex-wife #1's visitation is concerned, some believe that a good portion should go to Dustin's father for running interference with Rockport PD and Aransas Sheriff's office. The Reininger family has VERY deep roots, connections (and some say "old money") in Rockport, and has played a part in keeping the child from his mother.

  117. No, and a mother is still without her son...I have to say for those women involved in domestic violence, be very wary of the professionals around you. When they make you feel you are exaggerating or say you aren't able to obtain supervised visitation when *you* feel you need it for your child, STAND YOUR GROUND. Go with your intuition. I hope there are women reading this and know that it's only YOU that can protect your children.

  128. Just finished reading Friends & Family of Dustin Shane Reininger and came to the conclusion;

*It's amazing how people use photos of themselves that were take 20+ years ago.
*The health problems of his mother and father, didn't he think about that before he ran?
*Maybe the family members that helped him hide from the law can be the ones to help his parents?
    * If he's such a fine and upstanding person, why did he run with his son thus keeping him out of school?
    * If he's such a fine and upstanding person, why did he comit the crime of "Theft of Service" by taking his sailboat prior to paying what he owed for the repairs?
    * If he's such a fine and upstanding person, why did he shut down his business without warning his employees thus leaving them unpaid?
    * If he's such a fine and upstanding person, why did he set off “bells and whistles” with the Maine Friend of the Court by the manner in which he requested visitation with his daughter by Ex-2?
It all comes across as poor, poor, Dustin, none of his problems were caused by his own actions!
