[Excerpts] The rookie officer that was suspended following a domestic dispute that resulted in his wife firing his service weapon is no longer with the city's police department, Acting Chief Tom Riley said Friday. Marvin Vazquez's last day was Wednesday, Riley said, adding he couldn't release details about his departure. The chief added that the police department had completed its investigation of the incident, and said no criminal charges are expected to be filed against Vazquez, 25, who didn't immediately report the incident to his superiors... Chernay Vazquez was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and criminal mischief... Marvin Vazquez had been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation...
