Anyone checking Bethlehem police officer Charles Weigold's criminal record in the future will not see he was once accused of threatening and stalking his wife. Senior Judge Lawrence Brenner signed an order today to expunge Weigold's criminal record of
stalking, harassment and terroristic threat charges...
Under the order, Bethlehem and state police and the Northampton County's District Attorney's Office must destroy records, photos and statements related to the withdrawn charges... "The presence of these records in the files of these agencies is unjustified and will be harmful to his reputation and calling, and is likely to interfere with his earnings and livelihood," Weigold's attorney, Bohdan Zelechiwsky, said in the motion...
